About Our Speaker –
Hiro Iwamoto

At just 16 years old, Hiro lost his sight and faced moments of profound despair. Refusing to surrender to life’s challenges, he went on to achieve what many thought impossible—becoming the first blind person in the world to cross the Pacific Ocean nonstop, a 55-day, 12,000 km journey.

From battling fierce storms and enduring the isolation of the open sea to ultimately realizing his dream, Hiro embodies resilience and determination. Today, he inspires young people around the world by sharing the Power of Gratitude and the spirit needed to overcome life’s toughest hardships.
